Applying Toothpaste
To get the best brushing experience from your
Sonicare, we recommend you apply a strip of paste
or gel to the length of the brush head. Only switch on your toothbrush once the brush head is in your mouth.
Positioning the Brush
Position the brush head at an angle of approximately 45 degrees along the gumline. Use minimal pressure whilst brushing your teeth.
From Tooth to Tooth
Whilst you slowly move the brush head from tooth
to tooth, the longer bristles effectively clean in
between your teeth. Additional use of floss is
recommended.
Inner Surfaces
Move the brush head slowly along the inner surfaces of all your teeth. Spend more time on the surfaces of your lower front teeth where tartar is most likely to develop.
Biting Surfaces
Clean your biting surfaces by travelling from tooth to
tooth in a slow moving action. Let your Sonicare do
the work.
Back Teeth
Don't forget the hard-to-reach surfaces of your back teeth. The angled neck of your Sonicare makes it easier to reach these areas.
Timing
Sonicare makes it easier to brush the recommended 2 minutes due to its built in Quadpacer® Timer which bleeps every 30 seconds to remind you to move to the next section of your mouth.
Brush head
Even if your brush head doesn't look splayed after
6 months, we advise you to replace your existing head with a brand new one. This will ensure that your toothbrush feels brand new again.
